Privacy policy
How [legal entity — to be provided] handles your information across the Game On Here website, mobile app and venue portal.
Last updated 11 September 2026.
Draft — not ready to publish.
This page is complete except for details only the operator of Game On Here can provide: the legal entity, its postal address, a monitored support address and the governing law. Anything marked [… to be provided] below is one of them.
The short version
We collect what the product needs to answer one question: where can you watch this match, with sound on, near you. That means your email address, the clubs you follow, the city you are in, and what you do in the app. We do not sell it, we do not share it for advertising, and there is no advertising or analytics tracking in the mobile app at all.
What we collect, and why
| Information | Why we have it |
|---|---|
| Email address | Your account: signing in, resetting a password, and reaching you about the account itself. |
| An account identifier | Ties your preferences and the showings you mark GOing to you. Created even when you browse without signing up, so the leagues and clubs you pick during onboarding survive until you do. |
| Your location, when you allow it | Ordering venues by distance, and confirming you are at a venue when you check in. See Location, precisely. |
| Your city | Showing venues in the right place when location is off, and deciding which venue notifications are worth sending you. |
| A push notification token | Delivering notifications to your device. Only after you allow notifications, and removed when you sign out. |
| What you do in the app | The clubs and leagues you follow, the showings you mark GOing, your check-ins and your notification settings. This is the product, not measurement of you. |
Location, precisely
Worth stating carefully, because the honest answer is narrower than the label suggests. We declare precise location to both app stores, and here is everything we actually do with it:
- Venues near you. Your position is sent to our server, which returns venues ordered by distance. It is used to answer that request and is not written down.
- Checking in. When you check in at a venue, your position is sent to our server so it can confirm you are actually there — within about 200 metres. The result of that check is recorded; the position itself is not.
- Your city. Your position is converted to a city name, and only the name is saved.
We do not store your coordinates. There is no location history, no trail, and nothing that could be replayed to say where you have been.
We declare precise rather than approximate location because that is what your phone hands us when the permission is on, and because a 200-metre check-in cannot be confirmed with a coarse position. You can refuse the permission entirely — the app then shows venues in your chosen city, without distances or a map.
What we do not collect
No name, phone number, photos, contacts, calendar, health data, or financial data. There are no in-app purchases. There is no advertising identifier, no advertising network, and no third-party analytics in the mobile app — nothing tracks you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Who else processes it
These companies process information on our behalf, under contract, to run the service. None of them receives it to use for their own purposes, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
- Supabase — our database, sign-in and file storage. Everything above lives here.
- Vercel — hosting for this website and the venue portal.
- Google Maps Platform — turns coordinates into a city name and searches addresses. Requests reach Google through our own server rather than from your device, and we cache the answers for up to 30 days.
- Expo — delivers push notifications to your device.
- Resend — sends account and venue emails.
Match fixtures come from Football-Data.org and The Odds API. We send them nothing about you; the data flows one way, into our database.
How long we keep it
Your account information and activity stay until you delete your account. Push tokens are removed when you sign out or when a device stops accepting notifications. Cached address lookups expire within 30 days. Notification records are kept so you can see what you were sent.
Your choices
- Location — refuse or revoke it in your device settings at any time. The app keeps working; you choose a city instead.
- Notifications — turn off any category, or set quiet hours, in the app under Profile → Notification settings, or on the web under Profile. Quiet hours use your own time zone: anything that arrives during them is held until they end, and kickoff reminders that fall inside them are skipped. Your device's own notification settings still apply on top of these.
- Browsing without an account — you can explore matches and venues without signing up. An account is needed to mark a showing GOing or check in.
Deleting your account
In the mobile app: Profile → Delete Account. It removes your account and the information attached to it — your followed clubs, the showings you marked GOing, check-ins, notification settings and push tokens — and signs you out. It cannot be undone.
If you would rather we did it for you, or you no longer have the app installed, write to [support email — to be provided] from the address on the account.
