Terms of service

What the service is

Game On Here helps supporters find venues showing a particular football match, and helps venues tell supporters they are showing it. We currently cover Austin, San Antonio, Philadelphia.

We are not a broadcaster and we do not stream matches. We list what venues tell us they are showing.

Your account

You can browse without an account. Marking a showing GOing or checking in needs one, and you are responsible for what happens under it — keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it.

You must be 18 or older. The service is organised around venues that serve alcohol.

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account in the mobile app. We can suspend or close an account that is being used to abuse the service, to misrepresent a venue, or to break these terms.

What GOing means, and what it does not

Marking a showing GOing tells a venue you intend to come. It is not a reservation. It does not hold a table, a seat or a screen, and it does not oblige the venue to do anything. Venues use the count to decide what to put on; that is its whole purpose.

Checking in confirms you turned up, and is verified against your location at the venue. Attempting to check in from somewhere else will simply be refused.

What venues tell us, and what we can promise

Match listings, kickoff times, sound, opening hours and offers come from the venues and from match data providers. We pass them on in good faith and we cannot guarantee they are right — a venue can change its mind, a broadcast can move, a kitchen can close early. Check with the venue if it matters.

Anything a venue offers you is between you and that venue. We are not a party to it.

For venues

If you manage a venue listing, you confirm you are authorised to represent that venue, and that what you publish about it is accurate. Do not list matches you are not showing.

Acceptable use

Do not:

• impersonate a venue, a person, or us;
• submit check-ins or GOing signals you did not make, or try to inflate a venue’s counts;
• scrape, resell or redistribute our listings;
• attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, or probe the service for weaknesses without asking us first.

Our content, and other people’s

The Game On Here name, design and software are ours. Club names and crests belong to the clubs, and league names to their competitions; they appear here to identify matches, not to suggest any endorsement or affiliation.

Venue photographs and descriptions belong to the venues, which grant us permission to display them as part of their listing.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running, and it will sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may change or discontinue features.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for anything that happens at a venue, for a match that is not shown, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [governing law — to be provided], and any dispute will be heard there.

Changes

We will post any change here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects you, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
